FINCAR and FINPECIA are both real drugs, yes. Just like Air Jordans are a real sneaker. But with regard to FINCAR and FINPECIA, you may be getting a counterfeit drug from an overseas pharmacy. It is true that Fincar and Finpecia don't cost as much to make but you also don't know that the drug contains 1 MG or 5 MG of finasteride, respectively. The Indian pharmaceutical regulations are much less strict than the US laws from what I hear.
if you are a US citizen, and want to make 100% sure that your finasteride is authentic, it must be bought from a US pharmacy. A year's supply of Propecia runs around 700, while a year's supply of Proscar(cutting in fourths) runs around 300. Less if you cut it in fifths. Yes that is more expensive than Fincar but you are also guaranteeing that the drug you get is real. I did order some Merck Proscar from EliteNetPharmacy but Have no way of guaranteeing that the drug is real. Even if collegechemistrystudent tests a batch of it then that doesn't guarantee that future batches will be real.
So, again, if you want to guarantee that your finasteride is genuine, it has to be bought from a US pharmacy. And buying Merck Proscar or Propecia from overseas is no guarantee that it is not counterfeit. Some of the fakes look really similar to the genuine pills and there are plenty of the fakes out there.
I'm not going to risk my hair over it. I'd rather my wallet take a tiny additional hit. But it's up to you.
i am more affraid of buying merk and gsk stuff online because there is a high incentive to fake it. it trust generics more. also, http://www.elitenetpharmacy.com sells avodart for $54 for 30, while http://www.inhousepharmacy.com and http://www.unitedpharmacies.com sell it for $125. My Indian roommate says indian generics are extremely cheap, but US drugs sold in india are full price. Since both of the latter two pharmacies have no physical location listed, I wonder about elitenetpharmacy saying they can sell their's for $54 just because they don't have a physical location. I hope the 90 Avodart I got from them passes the test. I spent $183. i'm still taking my proscar until it passes. Then I'll probably get dutas if it passes, or try again to get a prescription here.
Fincar by Cipla is excellent Cipla is a highly respected manufacturer and I have never had a problem from http://www.bodycareworld.com/generic/fincar.html
It's 54 bucks for 60 tabs which works out to 8 months when split in fours.
Yeah it's around $230 from what I hear for 90 generics. I paid $285 for a year's supply of the brand name Merck Proscar just now but it's not much of a difference. year after that i'll prob switch to the generic and maybe they'll even have a generic Propecia 1 mg pill out by then? Hopefully?
