My hair is naturally dark brown with blond/light brown highlights. Now I have gotten older much of the blonde hair fell out or turned to peach fuzz. The remaining hair is a mousy dark brown with a tiny bit of grey mixed in. However my eyebrows and beard still have the strange blonde hairs mixed in. My hairline has receded in the front to a Norwood 3 with a wicked window peak and diffuse thinning all over the top of my head. The thinning is most visible near the front.
A friend of mine has thinning on the crown. He bleached his hair light blonde. This made his hairloss much less noticeable. He reccomended I try it. So I did. There is some improvement as the hair color is much closer to the scalp color. There is less contrast now. However I have diffuse thinning in the front and have receded on the sides leaving a diffusely thin widows peak. Even blonde hair can not conceal this.. I discovered a Nanogen video while exploring YouTube. I was really impressed and very hopeful. While a micro-hair product can not restore my hairline, I think it can work wonders for my thinning.
I never really considered a concealer before. I was only aware of that hokey scalp paint you see spoofed in movies. I began searching for other concealers and discovered Topik and HairSoReal. I just ordered HairSoReal dark blonde. I started reading these forums a couple of days ago and have read about several other products.. It seems that the best product combination depends on your type of hairloss and hair color. The videos for these products are impressive. Especially the micro-hair products(Topik, Nanogen). However I noticed that in every video, the guy has black/dark brown hair.. I began to wonder if there is a reason for that.. Can a blond achieve the same results? After reading every post in these forums regarding blond hair, I suspect blond hair is extremely difficult to colormatch. I also suspect blond refects more light revealing the micro-hairs. As I have not used any of these products, these are just guesses.
If you have blonde hair, please post the best combination of concealers you have found for blonde hair. Also post the technique you use to apply the products. Before/After pictures would be greatly appreciated!!
Here is a picture of my hair before I bleached it blond.. Now my hair is short on the sides and about 2 inches long on top. It is also bleached blond.

Based on the huge number of responses, I'm letting my hair grow back to it's natural color (dark brown).
I tried HairSoreal but it doesnt stick to my hair.. I used hairspray, but most of the HSR ends up on my scalp. I end up with little concealment and a noticeable pile of sawdust on my scalp. If I bump my hair it looks like it's raining blond fiberglass. That is after using a lot of hairspray. Perhaps bleaching the hair causes its static charge to change?

Does anyone want to buy an unopened can of HairSoReal dark blonde for $7 + $5 shipping?. I bought two cans and only opened one. Im also willing to trade for HSR/Nanogen/Toppik dark brown.

You have no chance of using concealer on hair that short. Its a good option to grow it longer than try concealers to help with the thinning.
