Hey guys 21 year old student here. Ive been on finasteride and min for a little over 6 months now. Didn't really have any hairloss until last fall when it hit me like a ton of bricks. I started shedding a bunch of hair and had a terrible scalp itch. I probably went from a NW1 to a NW2 or worse in 2 and a half months the hair would not stop falling out. After hoping on the big three I immediately had regrowth and finally stopped freaking out about my hair. It was the most amazing feeling to not be constantly worried about losing my hair or browsing forums. After a couple months, however, I started to shed again. For periods of time, the scalp itch comes back and I keep receding on finasteride. I have sheds and less or no regrowth after. It's looking like I'm getting closer and closer to baseline by the month now. Is there anyone who has found success outside the big three? It would be absolutely incredible to just maintain what I have for a couple months and not deal with constant sheds or having to get different haircuts. I have pretty bad male pattern baldness on my dad's side of the family. Additionally, I go to a pretty rigorous school. That and the state of my hair has caused me to become more and more anxious, stressed and depressed which I can't imagine is good for your hair. I tried using ru but I ended up shedding for about 3 weeks and getting mild side effects. Also, I just ordered some dutasteride pills from all day chemist and was thinking about adding 1 or 2 dutasteride pills into my regime but I'm starting to think this is an awful idea. To be honest I'm most scared of the shed not even from ordering pretty serious meds from an online pharm without a script. I feel like I'm kind of losing my mind a bit. Maybe I'm cursed and finasteride min and nizoral isnt enough for me to maintain. Has anyone had this experience with finasteride? Does your hair ever stabilize maybe after the first year? It's hard for me to imagine these sheds mean it's working I really see only further miniaturization. My only hope is that brotzu comes out soon and I can add that for a little more protection. Any guidance would be amazing I'm at a pretty low point as of now. I'm staring my senior year of college in the face and I dont know if i can hold myself up together for much longer.
