Hey Guys
Ive decided to switch back to finasteride. My liver enzymes are high and after telling doctor im on dutasteride he said it must be as a result of years on dutasteride. He also gave me the talk about dutasteride long term sides. I have decided to switch back to finasteride, but after being on dutasteride for so long. What will the best approach to take to... Everyones commens are welcome
Thanks

Maybe try to ween yourself off of dutasteride, reducing your dosage to only a few times a week, and taking finasteride on your off days.

It's the best of both worlds.

with dutasteride's half life, it will wean itself.

I just take dutasteride 3 days a week to save money and fear of sides effects. I just don't know if my nipples always had that little extra fat. 3 days a week is significantly stronger than propecia anyway. I really think topicals are needed for the extra regrowth, especially androgen receptor blockers in front.

i might just limit my dosage to 2-3 times a week. Hair is diffusing at a rapid rate, but i cant take it 7 days a week, coz liver enzymes are high

I'm currently on 1mg Propecia daily for almost 3 years. I just popped my first Avodart tonight though. My plan is to transition into this:

Day one: Finasteride 2.5 mg
Day two: no drugs
Day three: Avodart 0.5 mg
Day four: no drugs
Day five: no drugs
Day six: Finasteride 2.5 mg
Day seven: no drugs
Day eight Avodart 0.5 mg
Day nine: no drugs
Day ten: no drugs
Day eleven: Finasteride 2.5 mg
Day twelve: no drugs
Day thirteen: Avodart 0.5 mg
Day fourteen: no drugs
Day fifteen: no drugs

So I'm looking at Avodart only six times a month. Same with finasteride. My objective is a substansial decrease in DHT, but trying to avoid an overwhelming increase in testosterone to guard against it impacting my hairline.

hey Sean
Doctor just told me that he doesnt want me taking a drug like that for all my life. He is worried that long term sides are yet to be established. When my liver enzymes became high, Doctor suggested that this could be as a result from dutasteride. So ive backed off dutasteride to give more poor liver a break.
