Black Hairsoreal super-noticable in sunlight?

Hello, all. Well, like many of you I've been distraught for a few years now, with this hairloss garbage. Last night I tried Hairsoreal and, under my bedroom light, was thrilled with how good it looked. I went outside this afternoon, to see how it looked under sunlight, and it was super-noticable. Am I doing something wrong?

No unfortunatley harsh sunlight exposes most concealers as chalky/dusty since they dont have the same reflective sheen as hair does. You could try using less so it blends in more with your real hair.

Thanks, S.A.F. I don't use this site anymore (not since I think I went into abit of denial about my hairloss :) ) but it's easy to see you're one of the more informed, helpful contributers. I was pretty decided Hairsoreal was a no-go and resigned to having to buzz it all off, but your information gives me a little hope about Hairsoreal, as I suppose the sunlight thing may be okay, if it's universally accepted flaw of the product. Thanks a lot.

Sorry, S.A.F, one more thing? The issue wasn't really with chalky/dusty, but colour; the Hairsoreal looked a different black to my black. But this is just the nature of the product?

Ah, its always best to a shade lighter with your fibres (even though the manufacturers claim the opposite). And most concealers are always too dark anyway. I have med - dark brown hair and it was always noticible even with med brown, so I switched to light brown and now it blends in really well.

I was outside in the sun with toppik on and a friend of mine said she could see through my hair. My response was, "Yeah, it's getting thin". When we were back inside, I did notice her looking at my hair with a look on her face as if she was trying to figure something out. Oh well. I've got a daughter who will be attending college in ten years, so I'm not going to spend a bunch of money on a hair transplant. I'll just make do the best I can.

Yeah, that's true. My hair is pretty black, but I found the black concealers just too black. So I use dark brown and it works pretty well.
