Ok I'm kind of ashamed to post this after fifty's amazing results but here we go. My site sucks even more, but the same angles are laid out next to each other month by month. I took pics for months 1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and i'm currently in my 10th month and took those pictures today. If there is a place where there is a picture missing, that's because i haven't been completely diligent about taking pictures from the same angle.

edit: Oh yeah, i'm not really upset about my crown, but my front is just getting worse and worse.

You definetly have a weird hairloss pattern. Your one of those guys I would look at right now (High School) and never imagine would have to go through thinning. You just seem to have that one spot right behind the middle of your hairline that has undergone bad thinning. It seemed like in month 6 that you were starting to see improvement too. Strange.
Best of Luck Man, at least you have naturally thick hair.

no, that's just hair cut short. my hair didn't look bad short because that was 8 months ago when it was that short.

I agree with Kramer3 in that your hair looked good in the month 6 picture. I would definitely ride it out for another year, but I am sure you plan to, as propecia is all we have.

I don't mean to sound like a patranizing a**h**, but my heart goes out to you. Seems like your thinning was agressive. But you seem like a really good looking guy, and in shape as well. So what I would do is use Toppik, find a chic, and she'll probably like you more if you tease her by not getting to affectionnate right away. She falls for you big time, and then you tell her.

Sorry, just thinking out loud. Hopefully you have better luck in the future. Did you see a doctor/derm? Just wondering if it might be a nutrition thing.

Hope this didn't piss you off. My intentions are good, but it doesn't always appear that way with me.

Good luck man.

Bomb -

1. Did you password protect it for privacy or is that just what comes along with the service you're using to post your photos?

2. Would you make use of your own hairlosstalk home page photo biography and progress tracker if we made one?

3. Now im thinking maybe adding the option to password protect would be a good one, for privacy reasons. Hmmmm...

Bombscience, let me give you some advice I wish I had when I first started my hairloss battle. It was the best change I made in my regimen.

Your hair needs moisture and nutrients. You need a good shampoo and conditioner. I am sure its really dry.

I use AG moisture shampoo and conditioner. It adds all the keratin protien and natural oils and vitamins that occur naturally in your scalp but get stripped away. These shampoos really help my hair. My sister works at a salon and all the hair dressers love the stuff. I love it 2 cause its really good.

You get it at a salon for like 30 bucks for 2 big bottles. Its AG's new line. Best shampoo, conditioner I have ever used.

And get some hair vitamins. Root food hair vitamins are the best ones I found. A little Expensive but they help. I take like 3 a day. Also get Fish oil, that helped me out 2.

Trust me bomb, I wouldn't tell you this if I didn't think it could help you. I am positive you will see a change if you use vitamins and the shampoos.

GL and hang in there, keep us posted :D

bombscience,

Dude you still have a lot of hair and it's thick. You're one of those people that nobody can really tell if you're losing it. I know it may not seem like it to you but your hair still looks good. It looks like you're catching it right in time. Keep it up and don't get discouraged.

Young guy - you mention vitamins.

Is there a specific type for hairloss?

What are the best ones?

Anyone.

HairLossTalk.com

yeah privacy was my main concern. i guess it was because of web spiders and stuff like that. didn't really want that page indexed. also if the link did get passed outside of HairLossTalk.com it would reduce the possibility of somone having access. sorry i'm just a little shy about my problem.

sorry man, i dont agree with you here. my baldness is getting more and more obvious and i'm in month 10 of my treatment. i dont really have any hope at this point that my regimen is working. especially in the front. you can clearly see my situation getting worse over the last 10 months, so as you might assume, i'm really not thrilled about trying so hard to keep my hair and still losing it.

Acutually a little bit of sympathy is comforting. Yeah people are starting to notice and it's really funny finding out who your friends are. I do have to say that I always been blessed to be fairly in shape and get attention from girls. But it's funny now because I have a lot of girls that are friends that I maintain an innocently flirtacious relationship with probably becaue of a mutual attraction. Some of these girl's superficiality is really coming out when they notice i'm balding. They dont seem to flirt too much anymore.

Not to sound like a girl, but it really is wearing on me to be less physically attractive to the opposite sex.

Anyway, i'm in month 10 now and it's obvious it's not working. I'm really nervous about next steps. I feel like quitting minoxidil because in the back of my mind I have a feeling that it's only creating irritation and accelerating hairloss.

Maybe avodart? Pretty much though I think i'm screwed. It's really amazing that last year at this time I had nearly a full head of hair and I just noticed my hairloss.

You don't sound superficial or 'like a girl' at all, Bomb. If you start asking us over and over again if we think you are fat, then maybe I'd get a bit worried.

Concerns about attraction are not superficial in my book. The successful ability to attract a mate is something hard coded into our genes. Thus, for a male animal to lose his "plumage" or hair in the case of humans, is a genuine cause for dissatisfaction and worry. There is nothing wrong or superficial in complaining about it.

But, as with animals, I DO believe that although our "plumage" is ONE factor in attracting a mate, we should not concentrate on this weakness we all share to the exclusion of other factors that females find attractive. In a nutshell, it's not wrong to complain about losing our hair, but, we should not let our genetically-programmed worry over this discourage us in our search for female companionship and hot nasty sex. We are still in the ballgame, boys. No matter WHAT happens to your hair we have to keep a bad *** attitude and our heads up. Because even a man with perfect hair won't attract a mate if he walks without confidence.
