AFter 9 days on finasteride, i have paints in my nipples (mostly the right nipple) and I might be developing gyno. I've called my doctor and will be told what to do tomorrow.

Did anyone experience this?

Yep i did. Mine started 2months into 1mg propecia. I got it checked out by my Doctor. He said to cut the dose down to .5mg. If the pain was still there he recommended i stop. I'm 6 weeks into .5mg and no sides as yet (touch wood), the paid has gone, but the lump behind my left nipple is still there.

You may have to cut down your dose aswell.

Yeh developed a lump.
Umm after the pain developed, i stopped propecia for a week. The pain went away probably within 4-5days.

I think i'm going to go to 0.5 mg finasteride. So you have not noticed any further breast pain/changes?

You must be sensitive, if you are suffering after only several days use.
Maybe try topicals, like Eucapil Fluridil. I use one third of a phial every day, it seems to have boosted my recovery, along with 0.5 of finasteride.

Since ive been on .5mg no further pains and changes. But as i said previously, the gyno lump is still there, and i suspect it will remain for however long i use propecia.

Also, as you are getting similar sides to me, i think cutting down to .5mg would be a good idea. But get it checked out by your Doctor anyway.

My Doctor actually talked to me on the phone this morning. I told her what has been happening and she said I should cut the dose. If the problem remains, I have to stop it completely.

Update:

I think my nipples are a lot more puffy now and they somewhat point out. Can this be reversed? Will it go away?

Finasteride is fairly quick acting. So there's no doubt you could experience chest pain or soreness within the first eight hours of taking finasteride. However, there's no way those pains could manifest themselves into excess breast tissue or fat in just nine short days. That would take far more time, like many months, and years. The human body just doesn't work that way.

Although, if you're really concerned, you should cut back your dosage, or discontinue completely.

I've stopped finasteride for good. The pain is just too much and I don't want to risk anything.
