So, I am about to begin taking finasteride, and I’m not concerned about the sides at all. I understand what they are, but if I worry about them, I’m afraid I’ll get them because of psychological reasons. I know this doesn’t necessarily apply to finasteride because all meds are different, but I generally don’t experience sides from other meds I’ve taken in the past! So, let’s hope I don’t get any sides with finasteride, either!

Okay, now to the actual point of this thread. Has anyone tried Bremelanotide (PT-141) peptide for their sexual side effects? Interestingly, I had my doctor prescribe this to me because I had untraceable amounts of MSH. I take 0.1cc subcutaneously twice weekly. I had no clue that it was used for sexual dysfunction as well.... as it turns out, I had many erections throughout the night, and morning wood like I was going through puberty again. No joke, this stuff was crazy! I would be interested if any of you guys who suffered loss of libido or ED have tried this. It may help you out!

Yes, I did require a prescription. I also had a nurse inject me with it. Doctor office is on the way home from work, and takes me about 5-10 minutes between wait and injection. Super simple for me to do!

However, I believe you can find this as a research peptide pretty easily. And, I think there was a phase III clinical trial that is being wrapped up. Maybe for a nasal spray though, which isn’t as good as a shot... I think 50-60% as effective.

I’m about to begin finasteride. I’ll happily keep you updated on this thread with my sides, and let you know if this is helpful! Obviously, hoping I get no sides.

It seems to work like Melanotan II---did it make you nauseous and give you a tan?

Yes, except it has removed the tanning properties from the peptide, so unfortunately no tan for me. The first two times I had the injection, my face felt flushed and hot, but it only lasted for about 10 minutes for me. Now, I have the injection and I'm all good!
