I still have problems with itchs, burn-like sensation and redness on my scalp. Specially at night. Two days i've taked 100 mg of Oral spironolactone and the burn like sensation (with itch) lowered a lot. Also i dont have that sensation after taking finasteride.

Is there a link to DHT and those symptoms?

Half-life of finasteride is about 8-15 hours and i take it in the morning. Maybe my follicles get attacked when finasteride runs low on my body...

It makes sense?

IBM, no, this does not make sense.

While finasteride works to lower the DHT rapidly in your blood system, it's going to take a lot more time than 2 hours to reduce the amount of DHT in your scalp. It doesn't work like that.

I think that it could be the placebo affect, and something else is causing this itch. You need to see a doctor, like a dermatologist, and be evaluated.

Itching is a bad sign. Get checked out soon, okay?

finasteride has a half life of 4 hours. But it lowers DHT to its minimum level in just 2 hours. this is because it complexes with 5ar2 so fast. DHT is constantly being made and leaking into the blood, where it is quickly broken down to a prohormone by another enzyme. Once the 5ar2 is stopped in the first hour, most of the DHT leaks out of the cell and is broken down. Finasteride is then broken down by the liver with the 4 hour half life, still complexing with a little of the new 5ar2 that is being made. Just look on my web site to see how fast each dose lowers DHT and DHT returns to normal. Note: It does not show the first few hours, just the first day and days after that. DHT is actually lowered more that the graph suggests.

I used to have irritation on my vertex. I could feel it any time I bent those hairs. Maybe it was sun burn, but it was every day. After being on finasteride, the sensation is gone. But I've noticed my vertix is much thinner now. It is not noticeable dry, but I can feel it, and see it when my hair is wet. I really need to stop being lazy and start making my topical AR blockers.

So my theory makes some sense? At this time my itch and burn sensation is coming slowly. At night i'll be in hell but i fall asleep.
I'm considering switch to dutasteride 0.5mg/day when i end finasteride.
