Hi all,
I wonder if this could be posted in a different forum, but I guess I might as well start here.
So I wanted to share my experience and an interesting finding with using Bumble and Bumble Tonic Lotion. This is a description for it found online:
"This product is formulated with a rich mix of vitamins, herbs, and tea tree oil that tames tangles, refreshes your head, feeds your hair, and soothes your scalp."
The ingredients include Tea Tree Oil, Nettle, Rosemary, Peppermint, and other stuff that is supposedly good for the hair and scalp, and I believe some of these are mild anti-androgens.
I originally purchased this because I thought it would help with my itchy scalp. It seemed to work pretty well in this regard for the first couple of months, but has kind of lost it's effect by now (I have used it for about a year). I noticed that I still had an itch in my left temple during this time, which is where I am thinning worst. It also made my hair appear a bit thicker, which is nice.
Now here's the interesting thing - I have noticed that some of the hairs that I shed were getting visibly thicker before it shed. And by this, I mean you could actually see the hair gradually getting thicker as it grows out. I have attached a picture of this - the left side is where the bulb is. I don't notice this on all the hairs shed though, although they do seem to be miniaturizing more slowly.
Like I said, I originally bought this to see if it would help ease my scalp itch. I am thinking/hoping it might also be beneficial in slowing the thinning process. Thoughts anyone?
