Buzz cut receeding temples

Hi I'm 24 years old.

Hairloss was driving me crazy over the summer. I usually have pretty long hair. I cut it to a medium length and realized my styling options were pretty limited as I couldn't part my hair in a way that hides my temples anymore. I hated the nerdy new haircut so I lost it the day after and took my electric beard trimmer to my hairline. It didn't work out to well so I returned back to the barber to have her finish the job less than 24 hours later lol. Poor lady must've been flattered.

I've been on the Big 3 for the last 4 months and have noticed thickening in the front but my temples only have peach fuzz growing on them right now. I've been pretty insecure with my appearance overall. I guess I just can't tell whether the new look suits me or not. I'm still receiving attention from girls but I'm always thinking that the future is not going to be so bright when the hair just gets worse. Unless of course Santa reads my Christmas list and lights a fire under Histogen's a**!

A few questions

1) Is there a way to hide recession at the temples with dermmatch or another product?
2) Does the shaved look suit me at all? If not how would you go about growing the hair back to its original length. The middle stage is just unbearable

Thanks..

You looks good with almost any hairstyle. Plus you said you're still getting the ladies attention? That is all that matters.

obsidian no update?

well your shaved head suits you
you have a pretty face

there is no record of treatments really working on those temples
it is the hardest to regrow

you can get an hair transplant for those if all else fails

to answer your question though
the only way you could hide your recession
is to either keep it short as you do currently
or have it longer sweeping over your temples

both are pretty effective

IMO the really REALLY short hair style is no for you
makes you look like a skin head

ide say a 2 guard would suit you better

personally I think the buzzcut looks badass!! I'd love to look like that shaved. Perfect shaped head, still look handsome but not poncey or vain. I'd stick to that!!

Agree with this. be thankful you're a good looking dude and a buzz cut suits you. You'll do OK hair or no hair .

Thanks guys its nice to hear some positive feedback on the buzzcut, as its been a few months and it still hasn't grown on me 100%. I'm always criticizing my headshape and worrying about whether I can maintain this look if male pattern baldness progresses. I hate being so self conscious lately but it is something that worries me. Its both refreshing and funny to hear that someone thinks I have a "perfect headshape". I guess our perceptions of ourselves are really the only ones that truly matter. Thanks for the kind words, definitely helped me out tonight.

Hey man, in my opinion, your hairline is still good for long hair. As long as your crown isn't thinning, just grow it out and wear it forward! Obviously you should take the steps to maintain, however.

I would say that long hair looks best on you. In the picture in which you buzzed your hair short, your temporal recession is visible.

The hair in the front around your temples, however, seems to be in good condition, and I feel that if you grow it out long, you can use it to cover the hair loss at your temples.

If you can manage that look, I think that is the one which you should go with.
