Caffeine and Minoxidil?

Would this be safe to use? I've heard that apparently they both 'cancel eachother out' so to speak. Is there any truth behind this? I'm using a caffeinated lotion as well as minoxidil (Not at the same time).

Where did you hear that? And what is the logic behind it?

Supposedly caffeine being a vasoconstrictor and minoxidil being (in part, at least) a vasodilator would lead them to cancel each other out.
