Can finasteride cause dry skin? since i’ve been on it my skin constantly has that “tight” feeling, and i’ve read anecdotal reports about people saying it “thinned” their skin. what’s the consensus on finasteride and skin health

Not to be a dick but i don’t trust that website at all, nor should anyone else
I'm not sure whether it is 100% legit. I mean the issues listed could very well be things that have simply happened to people while on that tablet. For instance peyronies disease i'm certain could not be caused by something like finasteride.

i’m more so looking for a study or at least a plausible reason that finasteride could affect your skin in some way. I mean pfs isn’t even proven to exist, and the doctor who perscibed me finasteride said that he no longer gives it to patience with obsessive compulsive disorder unless they get a second opinion. the reason being; he’s persribed over 10,000 men propecia. he’s had 12 say they had pfs, 10 of which had diagnosed ocd. so let that sink in

The doctor who prescribed you it.. was he from a private hospital that sell you it or was he just a dermatologist?

I experienced this and broken capillary veins which barely noticable on face but not on chest since taking this drug which I could overlook if the drug helped but it killed over 60% of my hair density.

Bullshit. Most men get side effects, depends on how hard you get fcked by them, most men carry on. For some it's severe.

Also, a recent poll here had 50%+ of fina users having side effects. The same poll results are found on other hairloss forums.

And yes, dry eyes is a common side effect when you're messing with your hormone levels. Arimidex that lowers estrogen also causes this for example.
JohnSmith is a bit ignorant..Doctors can be too. It’s easy to pass judgment and cough it up to OCD. I can overlook sides if it helped with my hair. Some get sides when they quit the drug but when on drug, no sides.

Generally speaking, you are messing with hormones in the body when taking this drug and you don’t think that’s gonna affect you in some ways. Ffs. Lol @ OCD
