Can Finasteride Make Hair Thinner Before Making It Thicker?

My hair is so thin right now. It's the thinnest it has ever been. Is it possible that it will be replaced by thicker hair soon?

Hopefully. My hair took a huge hit from a finasteride shed too. I've been rolling for a few months, and I'm starting to see new hairs at the very peak of my temples. Unfortunately I believe this new growth isn't keeping up with what I've lost

Were you shedding a lot of hair before you started finasteride as well or did the excessive shedding really go hand in hand with the finasteride usage?

Shedding happens a lot its very common from what people say. Unless you went from Norwood 1 to Norwood 4 in a week I would say DO NOT STOP. Its very common for a big shed and all the hair grows back better than before. Just give it 1 year if you can before judging anything. Many many people quit too early.
If your having an allergic reaction or in a few very rare cases the higher androgens end up making it worse. Not normal though
