Can flax seed oil products lower DHT or at least testosterone from converting into DHT? I read flaxseed oil can do so but is it the seeds itself or the vitamins? I know the product has to have lignans or ligans if I found a liquid product that contains "high lignans" then can I take like 3 table spoons and get the same effects and lower testosterone conversion or free testosterone? Thank you.

Ok thank you, please let me know what you think

Examine.com, webmd, and wikipedia say little on flaxseed on testosterone.

Peak Testosterone says that flaxseed is very good for men:

Flaxseed is that good and arguably the most powerful superfood on the planet right now. (One could make a great case for spinach, broccoli and berries however.) I simply do not know any food that can do as much for men as flaxseed. As you'll see below, it does literally everything a guy could possibly want a food to do, including clear benefits for the bedroom.

From University of Maryland Medical centre:

Results from studies are confusing when it comes to prostate cancer and flaxseed. A few studies seemed to show that ALA intake was associated with an increased risk for prostate cancer. But other studies have found that flaxseed may benefit men at risk for prostate cancer. In one study, men with a precancerous prostate condition called PIN had lower PSA levels (a marker of prostate cancer) when they ate 30 g of flaxseed daily along with a low-fat diet. In men who had prostate cancer, 30 g of flaxseed daily and a low-fat diet did not lower PSA levels. But it did appear to lower levels of testosterone and slow down the rate of tissue growth. More studies are needed to understand how flaxseed may affect prostate cancer.
This is a combination of an ultra-high flaxseed diet (30 grams a day ? WTF? ) along with a low-fat diet. So there are two extreme measures going on, neither of which is relevant. This is the only thing they have to say on flaxseed and testosterone.

The source you give cites this study, but it's of a woman with a medical condition, whose extra testosterone came from polycystic ovary syndrome, a medical condition:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=PMC2752973

They also cite this study:
http://cebp.aacrjournals.org/content/17/12/3577.full.pdf+html
But testosterone did better in the flaxseed-only group than in the controls group. In fact looking at Table 3, it doesn't seem like there was a lot of change.

They then cite this study:
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11445478/
Which does the same trick: flaxseed supplementation + low-fat diet.

Finally, they say that flaxseed increases SHBG and is therefore bad. They link to two abstracts that don't mention flaxseed. Regardless, if you're on a hairloss forum, your SHBG is probably low, in which case even if the claim is true, then it's actually a reason for you to eat more flaxseed. Low SHBG is bad.

Aside from all these fatty-acid issues, flaxseed also provides a lot of protein, dietary fibre, potassium, very few sugars, vitamin B-6, magnesium, iron, and calcium.

**********

In conclusion I recommend eating a little flaxseed.

But would eating flaxseeds just be for health benefits or can it help with hair loss?

The research on diet and hair loss is of extremely poor quality so it's impossible to make robust recommendations.

Take flaxseed for your general health.
