Can hair thickening shampoos/products be harmful long term?

What is it doing that thickens it or makes it appear thicker? Also, can you eventually use it so much that your hair grows to be unresponsive to it?

I have been using thickening shampoo for a long time and its no problem.

Why does it seem like people complain in reviews about Jason's thick to thin and Nizoral causing hair loss? Is this typical shedding of hairs that were already going to fall?

In the note that comes together with the 2% keto shampoo Fungoral (Basically the same as 2% nizoral) mild hairloss is listed as a side effect. So is oily/greasy hair. It feels like nizoral strips all the natural "oils" out of your hair, making it very dry. Maybe your body answers by producing more of them to complement for the loss? I use the 1%, works great in a once a week routine together with a conditioner.

The thickening shampoos I know about works by coating the hair. The effect of this is said to somehow vary, depending on what type of hair you have. If these have minimal effect on you, you can try leave in conditioners with the thickening effect. When you don't have to wash it out like you do with a shampoo, the thickening/coating effect will be better.

Thickening shampoos just add a layer to the hair shaft like gels, waxes etc to make your hair appear cosmetically fuller, and they work well.

They don't contribute to hairloss and they wont help you regrow hair or actually make it physically thicker either.

I know full well how easy it is to get obsessed with all these things that really have no significance, because it's something you put on your hair!
