Can I Tape The Perimeter Of A Swiss Lace System?

Hi, I have been under the impression that for a full Swiss lace system I would be able to tape the perimeter and glue the hairline, however I recently contacted someone to arrange my first fit and cut who told me I would require a poly perimeter to 'give structure and allow me to use tape'
Is this true or does this person just not know all the options?

Yeah I figured this was the case, thanks for the help guys. Finding a decent stylist in the UK is proving a bit of a nightmare, especially in the north. I'll keep looking

Wrong answer.

You can use all tape, or tape/glue for the hairline, depending on the hairstyle (and hairline density).
