Sorry if this is a stupid question but I'm seeing different answers to this when I looked it up. I've read that leving gel, cream ect in for too long can block the hair follicles and I've also read that there's no proof this can cause hair loss.
The thing is I've got long curly hair and if you've got hair like that you need product unless you want a frizzy mess. I wash my hair every 4 or 5 days and I'm putting product in every day (believe me it needs to be done) so there's a lot of product in there. I've also been wearing a VR helmet a lot recently. It might not be the case but I'm certain my hair looks thinner at the front recently. Could this be to do with leving the product in or even the VR helmet pushing it into my scalp?
It might not cause hair loss but could it make it worse if you're already receding?
