I haven't experienced any crazy shed and I've been on it for 6 weeks. I shed some, but maybe this is just my hair loss continuing.

I have been using finasteride, off an on, for four years, and minoxidil for 2 years. Never once in the last four years have I experienced anything resembling a significant shed. In the shower, if I scrub my head super hard, maybe three hairs are shed, instead of two. So I guess, there's your answer.
