Can Minoxidil (liquid For) Cause Dry Mouth And Eyes?

Can minoxidil cause dry mouth and occasional dry eyes? I am getting these symptoms I have had blood test and the results came back clear. Could monoxide cause these symptoms?

Yes. I had puffy eyes from minoxidil and sometimes dry eyes.

I have stopped now open the symptoms go away did yours? I am going to see my GP again about it

I had dry puffy eyes, reduced my dose and it went away after a few weeks.

Thanks my symptoms started after a 3.5 year's off using it. I have stopped now I hope the dry eyes go away.

I bet you using liquid. I had always dry eyes when i let minoxidil rush my forehead down. Ethanol dries fast as f***. I think even 15 secs is enough to absorb atleast something.

Yes the liquid. Can it running down your forehead. But not in ur eyes cause them to be dry? Thank you.

Yea it can dry out your eyes..cut back on the dose..are you a good responder to min?

I was but like said been on it for 4 years plus maybe 5 years and this its effectiveness has stopped so have stopped and may stay stopped. Pending on what happens with my dry mouth and eyes while off it. Though was tempted to try the foam later on or maybe try finasteride. Again

Could the foam be less problematic? Also not putting it on right before bed like I did with the liquid may help?

Just an update I have switched to the foam and the dry eyes and mouth have just about gone. Must of been something in the liquid version I had developed a reaction to I think.

Hi Mark,

Thank you so much for your post, i was using Minoxidil 10% since 4 years, from last 10 months i am facing the dry eyes and mouth issue, i will try using the Foam. Hope its works for me as well. I will post the update after a month.
