On this forum at hairlosstalk.com, there are some postings where posters claim Zinc has reduced or eliminated finasteride side effects. How much truth are there in Zinc fighting finasteride side effects?

None. If you don't have enough Zn in your food (15 mg a day), you will get new distinct health problems.

Then would you say there might be another nutritional supplements that you can try to reduce the sides and shedding?

whether or not there's truth to the claim, it can't hurt at all to add a daily zinc supplement to your regime (within the recommended amount)

Zinc (as well as Grape Seed Extract) are natural aromatase inhibitors. Aromatase inhibitors work my inhibiting the action of the enzyme which converts androgens into estrogens. Therefore, if you want to potentially reduce the chance of Gyno and other potential side effects associated with your extra T being converted into estrogen, then natural aromatase inhibitors are not a bad idea.
