Is anyone on this board regularly taking capsaicin? How do you take it? I've tried around 6mg today in almond oil (doesn't dissolve well) and it burns.

Supposedly it stimulates DRG (dorsal root ganglion) neuron that releases CGRP (calcitonin gene-related peptide) that in turn causes dermal papillae and fibroblast cells to produce IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor) that promotes hair growth (in 22 out of 25 individuals they tested in the study).
This is the study http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17569567

(are we allowed to attach research papers?)

Isoflavone is known phytoestrogen that binds to estrogen receptors with not really high binding constant (however it doesn't raise estrogen level). But the question was about capsaicin which has no known effects on estrogen.
