Name is Randy but, most everyone calls me Cat. I am 53 and one of those crazy old guys that had a hair transplant back in the mid-70's when the technology was not what it is today. I had about 4,500 grafts (plugs).
It served me well until 15 to 17 years agos..I begain to use Rogain on 1/15/07 and now want to add a DHT blocker..
So anyhow I got a wild hair (no pun intended) to do something about it again.I have a Doctor that I occasionally consult with that specializes in anti-aging/anti-cancer medicine. I follow anti-aging/anti-cancer
protocols-----everything from ODA (far above RDA)on vitamins, amino acids,& minerals, to a modified mediterranean diet and daily exercise..Trying to get my body to produce far more human growth hormone..I'll see if I am as smart as I think I am..The goal is to be ten to twenty years younger (health wise) and with more hair in 5 months.. I feel good and have been at this for 1 month already..Ya'll take care, Cat

Good luck Cat. Did you get any tips specifically about hair from the Dr?

I got from the Doctor pretty much what I see here except for the humane growth hormone aspect..A lot of the vitamins work synergistically.Inositol and biotin I know are needed. You know there is so much I do not know. Some of I could find the literature about.. I haven't done this long enough to spout it off from memory..Maybe I need some smart pills
;-)..Take care, Cat

Have you not considered taking propecia along with the minoxidil or is your doctor against taking anything internally?

Just got use to it.. All the B vitamins are in one capsule. The Calcium and Magnesium are in one capsule. Besides I gotta do it the cheap way. You know there are doctors out there that specialize in anti-aging medicine and if I was rich I could easliy spend 10k to 20k per year!!

Hey Cat,

just out of interest, but do you have pics of the hair transplant you got in the 70s? Were you satisfied with the results?

I wish I had pictures of before and after of the Hair Transplant but I do not..It worked really well from 1977 to about 1990.Back in those days the hair line could not be reconstructed like today. As a result it looks like plugs in a dolls head from the front (the hair line). Of course there is the spot on top now also... Cat
