I think powersam has referred to the "brazillian generics made by merck" before, which is what this site has. Maybe he's used them.

It would be helpful to know. I'm a bit cautious about ordering from places like Brazil, Mexico because of customs problems or just straight up being scammed so will wait for feedback on this place. Good spot though Felk:)

I always use: http://www.merlonipharma.ch - 140 Euros (about $180, £95) for 90 Avodart delivered to the UK - I don't know if shipping to the US adds anything to the cost. This is what I've written previously about the slightly convoluted way to buy from them:

But as I've said elsewhere on the site, they don't have an all-in-one ordering process. What you have to do is complete this form: http://www.merlonipharma.ch/sme_form_eng.php and they'll e-mail you a price. Unfortunately there's no secure section of their site to pay by credit card, just another form to fill in: http://www.merlonipharma.ch/cred%20card.pdf which can be e-mailed (safety?) or faxed back to them. You can also pay via a bank transfer; this is a particularly easy method of payment if you've got an online account that handles international transactions.

why not just use dutas? there'd be much more of an incentive to fake the brand name expensive avodart and sell it online than to fake the dutas which is already dirt cheap.

i disagree

there would be way more of an incentive to fake the generics than there would be to fake avodart. Non prescription dutas sales would oustrip non prescription avodart sales, why go to the trouble to counterfeit avodart and sell it at avodart prices which arent going to sell that well anyway? surely it would be more advantagous to make fakes of whatever is selling more which is no doubt the dutas. People who buy with a prescription probably get it at the local pharmacy and fakes cant penetrate that market.

i buy from melonipharma..... in my last order i contacted GSK and asked them if there was any way i could tell if they were genuine, the emailed back giving me a discription of what the box should look like and how it should be sealed. I can never be 100% certain but i am more confident that i am getting the real thing than i am with dutas.

Some people report success with dutas, others dont. They didnt work as well as avodart for me and when i doubled the dose they made me incredibly sick. There is no way of telling if each batch you are recieving from wherever you buy from (i bought fromunited pharmacies) is the real deal, some maybe genuine, some maybe fake. Its too dodgy, and too risky. Stick with the brand name avodart, the price difference isnt too bad.

i think i'm only ever gonna buy from qhi.co.uk from now on. i know their stuff is legit, and i'm not gonna be using any kind of generics. not until they sell them in chemists at least.

also i have recently seen a sample of the 'proscar' from elitenet and i am quite sceptical of its legitimacy. blurred graphics on front of box, bin and expiry date numbers are out of line, and does a normal proscar box say "Take by mouth" on it ? punctuation also somewhat lacking on the instructions/ingredients bit.

I have proscar. It is in a bottle of 30, not in a box.

I'll do the tests tomorrow at 10AM. Unless a cheap underqualified chemist tried to make the stuff, and successfully made a molecule that has the same spectrum and amounts, the tests should catch it. I think if there are fakes, they would be completely fake or diluted.

I agree about the faster selling product. Scary thing is, we know for a fact that fake drugs are out there. FDA found them. There are articles on it. It is just a question of who is selling them. I read even US pharmacies are susceptible, though at a lower rate.

you have proscar from elitenet college? its in a bottle? the stuff i've seen was in a box with blister packs.

no, my proscar is from my university's pharmacy. I would not trust proscar bought online unless it was the website of a store I could go to in person.

and someone who got a prescription for Avodart at a US pharmacy send me a pill, so I will use that as a standard to judge elitenet's and all the other duts.

my proscar is in a bottle. 30 blue 5 mg tablets. They are round rather than the normal Proscar shape, so a bit easier to cut. it's Cipla's but distributed through TEVA and from a US pharmacy. It's that generic Proscar they are selling now. It's real.

I DO wonder why Elitenet's year's supply of Dr Reddy's Dutas cost 480 compared to around $360 on Inhouse. Anyone care to speculate?

Their prices for 30 tabs are very similar. In fact Elite's are a little less but they don't offer the quantity discount that Inhouse offer.

Powersam checked out a sample of Proscar from elitenet, and believes it's not genuine proscar (he's ordered proscar before)

Think you have your wires crossed...I think he is asking college if it came in a bottle. I ordered proscar from elite before and it came in a box as shown on their picture. Pretty sure if you pose this question about people who have ordered from them proscar they will tell you it didn't come in a bottle either.
