Hi bud, welcome to the site. You are definitely balding and it's very aggressive.
You NEED to talk to a doctor about getting on finasteride(Propecia/Proscar) ASAP. Ask your Doctor to write you a script for Proscar because it is the 5 mg form of finasteride, while Propecia is 1 mg. But Proscar tablets only cost twice as much as Propecia tablets so you can save money by cutting your Proscar tablets into fourths or fifths with a pillcutter and taking either 1.25 mg or 1 mg of finasteride a day. Doesn't really make much difference.
I also recommend going to your local supermarket and buying Nizoral shampoo with ketoconazole. Use this shampoo every 3 days and leave it in your hair for 5 minutes. Follow up with a good conditioner.
I also recommend adding minoxidil(Rogaine) to your regimen because I don't think that finasteride will be able to grow all of that back for you. You can hold off on the minoxidil if you like but definitely talk to your doctor about getting on finasteride(Proscar) as soon as possible. It's much easier to maintain hair than it is to regrow it and Proscar should hold your hair in place for a few years.
Minoxidil(Rogaine) is more of a growth stimulant than a maintainer so it is best combined with the Proscar rather than used alone.
If you are interested in using the minoxidil now because you want your hair back now and don't want to wait to see what Proscar will do for you, then you have a couple options. You can buy the brand name 5% extra strength Rogaine liquid that is available in like any pharmacy or supermarket. Or you can buy the generic Rogaine from a store like Sams Club or Wal-Mart or CostCo which is just as good. OR, and what I think is a better option if you're interested in adding minoxidil, try the new Rogaine Foam. It's cheap when you buy at a place like Sams Club or Wal-Mart and it dries much faster and is less irritating than the liquid version because it contains no propylene gylcol.
So to sum up, here's what I think you need:
And don't forget to take pictures at least every 3 months so you can accurately assess your progress. And don't be scared if the minoxidil(Rogaine) or finasteride(Proscar) makes you start to shed. It's perfectly normal and you should continue with the treatment so the hair can come back in thicker and fuller.
Good luck to you.
