cholesterol and hairloss

Is anyone aware of a link between high cholesterol and hairloss? i just found out my cholesterol is 'distressingly' high for a nineteen yr old. this doesn't make much sense to me cause i'm super skinny, i hate red meat, and i eat pretty healthy. my Doctor stays that i don't have to go on meds just yet, that i should try to lower it myself through diet, but i'm not eating anything unhealthy...

Cholesteral

I did read a news article a few weeks ago on Yahoo Health that said there is a link between bcps and high cholesteral. Mine is really high too and I'm only 24. I take bcps so that makes sense in my case.
