Im 26 now, but 4 years ago I started to thin at the temples, and then it progressively got a lot worse, so then I go to my family doctor and ask him if he would prescribe propecia to me, he said OH YOUR NOT BALDING, but it was obvious I was. He seemed reluctant to prescribe it , but he ended up giving me the script. So then for the next 2 years it seemed to lessen the drop rate, but it still was coming out, so a year ago I decided to go to a consiltation for hair reasignment and the Doctor said I was norwood 1-2 and he said TO STAY ON THE PROPECIA whatever I decide to do. Well I just wanted to see what it would cost and I think it was 3,500 for his "deal". I of couse didnt do it. Well then 5-6 more months went by and I entered a severe state of depression, dealing with the calamitys of life and such, and lost my job. So I stopped paying the
85$ propecia-at walgreens, I thought ive probly been wasting all this money anyhow, well now its been another 6months to present day and I kid you not IM probly a norwood 4 or at least approaching it. This of course has Made me feel even worse, I also have been taking antidepressents They are LAMICTAL, and SEROQUEL, Im thinking that these are also creating the excessive loss, especially the LAMICTAL, Has anyone on here Taken Anti- depressents and noticed within a few months that your hair loss is at a greater loss rate? The reason Im thinking its those drugs is I seem to remember in the propecia pamphlet it stating that it takes 9months after stop usage for hair to go back to pre propecaia
Im probly wrong but anyhow, Im racking up the credit card, I dont care If I have to pay interest for the next 5 years on it, I want my hair back, Im glad I found this forum because obviously the thing to do is get the proscar and cut it up- I had no Idea there was even this option! Well, I bought my rogaine too and its going to be a daily ritual. Thanks All.

Hey Chris,

I am sorry to hear about your problems in life. I am also suffering from depressions. I am currently on Zyprexa and Cipralex. Anyways, in order to save further money you might buy generic proscar called Fincar. Good Luck in getting your hair back!
