clothing style after losing your hair

Hey guys,

Since losing my hair...I'm pretty much a NW6-NW7 as I had diffuse thinning all over the top and now I keep the sides/back buzzed short...I'm wondering if my style of clothes makes me look dumb. Let's face it, going completely bald...even when you buzz off whatever is left...still ages you. I'm a younger guy and typically have always dressed younger...pretty much always enjoyed shopping. I'm wondering, should I not be shopping at younger stores like Abercrombie etc anymore? I have to wonder if I shouldn't be dressing more conservatively...like knit shirts, khaki shorts sandals etc. ?

Thanks guys!

f*** No... Be a hard *** with a shaved head!!! I went from being called a "pretty boy" with hair to being asked if I fight MMA or am a Marine!!! LOL. Dress like you want, but be edgier. Get good sunglasses as they frame the face.

Yeah lets hope he's not a 5' 7" chinless, babyfaced, 120lb guy. (with spectacles)

I've always found short people to be tougher because they always set out to prove themselves. Yeah I have the baby face as well, and the pretty boy look always got me far with girls. I hate the thought of running into an ex in the future and she laughs with her friends later about her bald ex-boyfriend who used to have beautiful long hair.

I'm 5'4" so let's not be beatin up on short men!

Just saying the idea that gets banded about on these forums that all bald guys can just shave it and look macho is not helpful.

I personally like more formal, darker clothes with a shaved head. But then again, I already wear that now.

You look younger than 38 imo. And shaved head has not stopped you getting a cute girlfriend.

Dude, you look cooler with a shaved head. Especially because your hair line is pretty straight.

I think your clothes match your appearance. You should experiment with different clothing ranges that suit a shaved head. I've always though denim would go with the bald look.

I've also found that a nice shirt, sharp denims and a sweater or sportcoat and a good buzzed head looks sharp and intelligent. I guess it has a lot to do with head shape and facial structure.

Haha, even though we had our differences in the other thread I fully agree with you here.
I'm 6 foot 2 and short arse muvalovers have always seemed to have a inferioty complex regarding me, like they have to prove that just because they are smaller doesn't mean they're as tough or stronger. I understand how they must feel though since when I come across someone taller than me I am genuinely set back for a brief moment =S.

Also I think every guy worries about that ex issue. I had some beautiful ex's over the last 5 years and I also think that too, but I think overall aging hits women more on the inside than men...We can always go gym and bulk up and what not to boost our self-esteem, where as with women probably feel more helpless when it hits them...#justatheory.

You have to keep in mind that:

a) you're a fitness instructor with well built body

b) you "only" had diffuse hairloss and stubble still framed your face very well when shaved down

Ergo - you have way better characteristics than an average NW6@25.

Btw - I used to compete in kickboxing and no one ever asked me if I was a fighter and we're generally all surprised when they came across my pics on fb... :xmas:

Fair enough...

How about we get a pic of the young man and see what he's working with. It's still worth trying to be stylish, rather than settling on Dockers and old man attire or something. It can only help to find several decent looks for different occasions or moods and enhance what you do have.

I think everyone should try to achieve an optimal clothing style in bounds of their lifestyle. For instance - if you're a literature student, trying to become a succesful writer, you probably move in more "artsy" social surroundings. Therefore some retro jacket, wacky tie and square glasses are probably more appropriate than Armani business suit...

I'm no fashion advisor, so don't take my words for granted, just thinking out loud... :)

I think you should dress better for your age, but please no baseball caps 24/7.

especially none of those silly flat brimmed caps everyone wearing these days. Bills are supposed to be curved....always.

Actually I'm only 24. It's their prerogative but I think it makes people look like clowns or something. My little brother likes those caps and looks like such a poser with them on. C'mon, just curve it
