coincidence?

Hi guys

I got a question for you. Few years ago I noticed that I was growing some hair on my upper arms near the shoulders and also a few hairs on my upper back (just a few hairs).

A month ago I started with propecia and yesterday I noticed that the hairs on my upper arms and my upper back where gone (well fewer anyway). Is this just a coincidence? Or is it a known side effect from propecia?

DHT (the hormone inhibited by finasteride) is, strangely enough, responsible for both LESS hair on the head and MORE hair on the body. Basically, it turns you into a rabidly horny monkey which has trouble urinating, (but don't quote me on that). So yes, the loss of body hair is most likely a side effect of Propecia. Don't worry about it though, it's not really a big deal.

Thanks for your answer. and it makes sense to me. The hair on my body started to grow at the same time I started to get thinner up on my head

I don´t worry about it, can´t say that I´will miss the hairs on my back :)

But I was thinking, is this a first sign of me responding to finasteride? I sure hope so anyway :)
