I noticed his hair in the last few months looking less thick than usual. His temples as aren't as strong as they used to be and as you can see in the pics below, it just looks thinner overall, especially the sides of this head (unless his hair is really wet or he's using a lot of gel). Still a good head of hair but I always thought he was one of the guys who never lose it.

I agree, it just looks less thick than it was 10 years ago. It could just be he's using a lot of gel now like I said.

Seems like his right temple has thinned a bit, nothing drastic though.

Wow, I have the identical hair loss pattern as him. It happens to the best of us. Luckily when I was his age my hair was better than his is. As you get older you thin and lose density. I am glad you showed this as it makes me feel better. His hair used to be really thick. In Fright Night, I watched in in 3D HD blu-ray and you can tell he was wearing a partial piece. It was obvious. If you guys think its not noticeable that makes me feel better about my situation. When I look at his situation its very obvious to me but thats just because my definition of "normal" is hair that look like Paul Ryan or Matt Dallas. But then my perspective is influenced by BDD too.

^Glad it makes you feel better but I'm a diffuse NW2 at 24 who's still thinning even on meds! lol So count your blessing yours happened so late and your hair is still decent. How do you think you would have handled it psychologically if you started losing your hair at 20 as I did?

I would have been devastated. My father started losing his at 16 and was a NW4 or 5 by his late 20's. I had acne as a teenager and still have some now and then and its was devastating for me and messed me up big time. I know hair loss is alot worse. I wish I could give you all a cure if I could. I hope something is in the horizon for you as I know it must be "hell" losing hair. But I have seen NW6 and 7 at your age and that is the worse case scenario. I do count my blessings every day I do not have to go thru what you do but acne is almost as bad. I used to pick at my face until it bled and I had scabs all over. I got teased about it all the time. I am still suffering from image problems so I know if I lost my hair at a young age I probably would have had transplants to deal with it. I can't even deal with hair loss at my age as when you see people who have it better, you want the same.

i seriously doubt that is thinning . . . . . . . . . i know plenty of guys who arent losing and their hair just looks like that after it getting wet or certain hair cuts

but even if it is starting to thin, he is 36 and thats not bad at all, he is almost middle aged now so its nowhere near as bad as late teens/early 20s which are where the most depressed hair loss sufferers come from

I agree. No thinning imho. I don't agree that 36 is middle age. I'm 35 lol

It is thin, he might have always had fine hair though? Its hard to tell with celebrities since they always put junk in their hair to look better. But I think most people on here would kill to have his head of hair.

Hmm it genuinely looks like he's thinning. He used to have ultra thick mane, and I thought he'll never start losing it. However, I would die to start thinning at 36 :D

To compare here's his hair a decade ago. Notice the first pic his hair is wet and a similar length from the pic on pg1 but it doesn't look as thin. To reiterate though, even though he's thinning I would probably give my left nut to have his hair genes.

He is def thinner than before, his hair is no longer as thick, you can see the scalp, I heard he goes through crash diet and sometimes lacks his nutrition, his hairloss doesn't look like male pattern baldness, looks like Telogen Effluvium or diffuse thinning from some type of stress. He had a rapid weight loss for a move a while back and ever since then his hair has begun to thin.

but there is also no or hardly any gel in his hair in those pics...don't you think?

Only time will tell, and then we'll know. Although, probably not because he can take meds.

I believe he only did that one time for the film Triage and he's been a normal weight for at least a couple years now. Although I'm sure it varies, Christian Bale never experienced any noticeable hair loss when he got down to 120 for the Machinist. And you don't see any probable thinning until 2011 so we can most likely rule out Telogen Effluvium.

Yeah but if Bale did then he probably covered it up. And Telogen Effluvium doesn't usually hit until a few months after the crash diet.

I tend to crash diet and then I will get Telogen Effluvium, it's stupid I know but it's just an easy way to shed pounds. It definitely affects your hair though...and the shedding always happens 2 to 3 months later with itching.
