man ive been on propecia for 15 months. right when i started taking it, i went through crazy shedding, like nothing before. i had (and still have) a full head of hair, but felt i saw some thinning so i started taking the stuff.
over the next few months, and pretty much the whole time ive been on the stuff, ive shed more and more. its now at the point where in seeing more scalp than ever.

should i stop with this stuff already? am i maybe a non responder?

i know everyone says you should wait it out, but im just so confused at this point.

my question is, am i doing more harm than good?

maybe i should just try not taking it?

help!

Well In my opinion you should stop taking propecia if your not seeing no progess over a year because it even says on the propecia wehsite that you will respond from 6-12 months. I was taking propecia for 18 months and having desame problems as you . Now I'm taking rogaine and hopefully it will work.

its very strange, but the hairs near my ears come out in chunks if i gently tug at them. could it be Telogen Effluvium caused by the propecia??

i think i may stop taking it, starting tomorrow. ive just been watching my hairline and my whole head thin while on the stuff. not sure what else to do at this point.

This is what I'm afraid of.
15 months man.
Me stopped on 4 months.
Wonder if I continue till over a year and still no results.
Waste time and money.
As we know Propecia is so expensive.

I think I'll never buy any finasteride after this.
Just stick to shampoos and minoxidil.

Sorry to hear that william.

you could just be balding, the propecia could well be slowing it down

you said you noticed thinning so maybe its just progressing, maybe try dutasteride ?

check out the dutasteride forum

good luck

You should try to add minoxidil or roganie products to your regimine and give up propecia because you been on it too long ,also giving you no results and side effects.
