Ok guys i have ever thought that the important value for the hair was the inhibtion of scalp dht by propecia ( 32 % or something lke this ), but i have spent a lot of time reading some post on hairlosshelp of bryan and decadetwo and the important value is the inhibition of the 5 ar 2 in the DP .

so based on this graph finasteride inhibit 88 % of 5 ar 2 in the DP and duta 0,5 mg 94 % . So basicaly fina should be almost really powerful right . and from waht i have understood scalp dht is useless , it is mainly composed of 5 ar1 and sebum.

Seems like you've come to a plausible conclusion. It just seems odd that in most cases of people taking dutasteride have better results than when they took finasteride. The general consensus seems to be that 5mg of finasteride is equivalent to 0.1mg of dutasteride. Considering I'm fairly new to all of this, I would love to hear what other's opinions are.

Some evidence points to some people responding better to Duasteride vs. Finasteride based on genetics as well. It is not just all DHT inhibition amts. Finasteride works, but for some people Duasteride may work better and vice versa. Finasteride inhibits 5AR2 in the hair follicle adequately to be effective. Duasteride inhibits 5AR2 more completely than Finasteride however. The 5AR1 inhibition is not associated with hair regrowth. It is almost comparable to placebo. It seems the scalp DHT is not necessarily what is correlated to hair loss but it is the DHT in the actual follicle/outer sheath.

Is the “crown/vertex hair count” column an absolute number or a percentage?
