Been there, done that. I used to use Prothik, which is similar to those.
Yeah, it worked, but it really does mess up your bathroom something fierce. All over the walls and everything.
I'll stick with Dermmatch and Toppik. Not as messy.

Is Mane that impressive, close up? It looks a bit too good on that clip.
I always associate that product with the painted head of the 60s/70s films. They always used to advertise in back of papers. Does it rub off like the fibres overnight?

I've never used Dermmatch, only fibres, and wondered if I did, would the holes in the morning not look quite as bad if Derm was under it?

Sorry, Esprit, I must not have explained it too well in my post. I've never used Mane, only Prothik, but I just imagine they are pretty much the same type of thing.
They do work, and can look pretty good, especially with one of the "paint-on" concealers like Dermmatch underneath. But like I said, they are very messy. Too messy for me anymore.
I don't get "holes", but then I sleep on a narrow pillow, where the part of my hair that has the concealers in doesn't touch the pillow very much, if at all.
Yes, I would recommend trying Dermmatch with your fibers. That is what I use - Dermmatch and Toppik(using the spray maximizer). It works really well for the amount of baldness I have, which is considerable. I put Dermmatch on first(some on the scalp and some on the hair itself, then comb that through. Spray on a little hairspray, then spray on some Toppik. I usually comb that once or twice too, then I add Toppik until it looks full, and then spray on some more hairspray, and I am done. Of course, my front hairline takes a little more time since I have to get it just right because of my stupid transplants there, but sometimes that goes pretty good as well.

I use mane to cover up my strip scars, but for the top of the head I'd recommend fibres more.

I've heard different opinions on applying on wet or dry, What works best for you and if you didn't use Toppik would Derm just look like a painted scalp?

Can you use on a receding temple if there is no hair there or is that asking too much? I used to just have the ever expanding crown but now the fronts are here to piss me off more just incase I wasn't depressed enough already!

Where are your strip scars SAF, is that from transplant? Is Mane as convincing as in that video or just a lucky shoot?

Manr is ok for strip scars because being a soray its easy to apply and having fairly short hair (half an inch) on the sides/back theres no need to add body. But I'd expect that guy in the video looks awful in real life up close.

Well, it would look more like painted scalp on me, because I don't have enough hair there to cover it well enough.
Oh, and I apply Dermmatch with a wet applicator but on dry hair, if that's what you mean. As I get near the hairline I try to use a dryer applicator though, because else it gets too black.

And yes, I have heard of people who use Dermmatch on their temple points, but they have "some" hair there, just thin.

Thanks guys, where are strip scars Saf, and was it unsuccesful if you have them or are you in mid growth still?

Vinton, as you know Derm show people with very little hair on their head in the before~after shots, who pass for having a luxurious head of hair, so.. I wonder now what thinning crowns look like with that and no fibres. I may try Derm now and see what gives, and let you know. If it disguised the morning after gaps I'd be happy....
