Connection between "pear" shape and gyno?

I didn't have any issues with gyno or anything like that. I MAY have had some slight nipple tenderness, but that may have just been an abrasion from a shirt while running. I think gyno tends to affect people who are already kinda "pear" shaped as is, meaning the already tend a little towards feminine. I have always been lean and more muscular, so I don't think I have a lot of estrogen to begin with.

This was posted by "wackyhead" over at HLH. I just found the theory kind of interesting. I think I was one of the unlucky ones who got signs of gyno, although I will never know it for sure, since I got scared and quit. I definitely got some other sides, though. Even though I'm underweight (BMI about 18.5) I still sort of have a "belly", so this theory seems to fit my case, at least. Does anyone else have any thoughts about it?

Norsk, I don't have a pear shape and yet I started to show gyno. But I have been doing alot of push ups and eating much better and exercising more. My bodyfat is has dropped to around 12 to 13 percent and the gyno is pretty much non-existent. My chest has changed drastically from doing push ups. My goal is to get to 9 to 10 percent bodyfat.
