Well here’s a bit of a story. Noticed thinning about 3 years ago at 19 and waited till 21 to start treatment. Once I became obsessed with hair loss, things got way worse. Im on month 13 of finasteride and just started oral min to help thicker hair. I really think my obsession caused my mental health to worsen which inadvertently made my hair worse. Any advice on the finasteride and oral min? Experience. I still shed 30 to 40 short hairs when i shower. About the go for a buzzcut and continue treatment. I guess I need one of those “my hair is better now than It was 10 years ago” experiences with finasteride.

I wont lose this

How often you wash your hair?

I would add microneedling with topical min and retin A topically before you put on the min for microneedling but except for that, plus Keto to relieve inflammation and shedding, you are right on course and doing all the right things. Think about it this way. What's the alternative to finasteride? Stopping? That's guaranteed destruction. You will eventually enter a phase of stabilization or you will be one of the unlucky with rampant all but untreatable baldness and at least you won't have regrets ten years from now for not having tried. I see posts like that all the time on tressless. Best of luck.

thanks, I will continue on, keto fries my hair so I try to stay away from it but I guess I will give it another shot. also hoping this oral min helps me with some thickening. I heard its very effective. I also don't know of the constant shedding is "normal", "good" or progressing hair loss so it sos hard to be happy.

You might try the Keto cream that some guys use. Keto destroys hair in terms of stripping the hair strands of most sebum so that for the next day or so, hair can look thinner and frizzy. For most guys, using it for baldness, there is so much sebum production that recovery in terms of immediate presentation might be rapid. Try brushing after the hair is dry with a boar bristle brush which will extend sebum away from the scalp where you don't want it, to coat the entire strands which should add luster and shine and manageability. I have had to go down to maybe once to twice a month with keto because of this stripping process. I don't use shampoo anymore except for keto because it does something similar to female hair which with boar bristle brushing, seldom gets greasy. The male and female hair environments are remarkably different and we need to be aware of this for grooming purposes to make what hair we have look its best.
