Crazy ITCH!!

I've been on 1mg finasteride. and kirkland minoxidil for almost a year now. Ive been seeing some pretty good results thus far. I was my hair about every other day with T-Gel shampoo. but sometimes I have an absolutely crazy itch on my scalp. I know the itchyness is normal with minoxidil but am i doing any damage by actually itching?? I dont wanna be loosing valuable hair LOL
