Serious help needed guys!! I have been on this site for years now, haven't posted for a while because i've come to a crossroads and i really need your guys help

I started off on finasteride 1mg and took it once a day for about a year and a half i then thought it was causing me to get spotty so i reduced it to 0.5mg but no help. When i came off finasteride my spots got better and think they'll eventually disapeer in time!! I have tried the natural route but lower my bodys DHT just makes me go spotty. I use nizoral, Tricomin and good conditioner also

What should i try guys i really need some help here!?? Please??

Thanks in advance.

I assume you mean acne problem? I fought acne problems in my mid teens - till early 20's. When i was 22 i went on a 4 month course of accutane and this basically cured my acne. Sure i get spots from time to time even today both nothing that has concerned me since.

A few months after this course I started propecia. My skin didnt have any negative affects from the propecia.

I haven't heard of finasteride causing spots but then I am also no expert. Just thought i would share my experiences.

By the way, while acne was pretty distressing for me, its nothing compared to hairloss. Acne is curable (well in most cases it is with accutane) and temporary. Hairloss will change you forever and is irreversible so if I were you I would get back on the propecia and then investigate if its safe to have an accutane course while taking finasteride. Talk to your Doctor.

Best of luck mate

I agree with jc444.

If I was you I would keep on the propecia and find another way to combat the spots. You could try a good regular washing routine and exfoliate to help clear pores. Maybe even accutane as was suggested although this is a powerful drug and can cause severe drying of the skin and other side effects in alot of people. It's probably better to have good hair and a few spots which can probably be cleared up through time, than no hair and clear skin.

You cold also try switching to dutasteride incase that makes a difference. I've been on it for 2.5 months and haven't noticed any change in my skin. I do keep a good skin routine though.

Good luck!

Ye sorry acne. What do you mean by saying proactive viper?

minoxidil would grow hair but it doesn't stop it falling out because you aren't reducing DHT in the follices

Proactive solution would be for your acne. I have been using it for the past two months and it has totally cleared up my adult acne. Nothing has ever worked before it is amazing stuff.
