Hi,
I am 27 M experiencing a combination of diffuse thinning and crown thinning for the past 3 years (damn genetics).
My current regimen is 5% minoxidil daily, biotin, nizoral and oil 2x/week.

Apart from diffuse thinning in certain areas of my scalp, I feel like my crown has severly been affected (see pic of my hair air-dried after shower). I need honest feedback in terms of my baseline as well as whether I have any options to recover lost ground?.

I really need help.

Thanks
Cheers!

@Selb reminds me of your hair. You have early male pattern baldness. You should be able to regain your loss as long as you use finasteride with minoxidil. Without finasteride, you can say goodbye to that crown in the future.

@DoctorHouse How bad do you think my crown currently looks? Is there a recommended dose I should follow for finasteride (to avoid side effects)?

@Pigeon is there a recommended frequency for micro needling?

Your crown probably looks normal when dry so I think it's just the earliest sign. I always recommend topical finasteride if you are so worried about sides otherwise take the standard dose of 1mg of finasteride. Let's see your hairline slicked back wet.
