I found this awkward video in facebook and to be honest - the message that was meant to be shared didn't go down well among the people. Some are even confused about the real meaning of the video. BUT, WE DO KNOW THE MEANING BEHIND IT, RIGHT. RIGHT?

We know how it feels to be ignored and hated just because of our looks. And the message is nice and well thought-out - "Our depth of beauty, like the ocean, is immeasurable by the surface" - but people are so blind to see through it. The dumbness of the society has gone to such ends that they don't even behave like mature guys anymore.
Look at these comments -
Mohsin Ahmed The only message I got from this is that if you give people the tools to multilate you, they will do it
(multilate uh what? I suppose it was humiliate.)
Cindy Cole Wiley This was just plain dumb
Hanan Mta Just stupid

and so on with the dumb and stupid words. You can pretty much sort out those attractive people without even looking at them.
Nowadays, maturity is considered to be something that goes along with the trends of the society but not those experiences which helps us to mature. The message was clear as crystal and I don't even know what was wrong with that - " the young lady doesn't care about her looks as it is nothing compared to the personality that lies within. Thus, she gives permission to strangers to do anything with her hair (note - she admits the importance of hair in our looks) and that way, she wants to prove that no matter what she looks like, she will be the same person as before and hence should be treated that way."

We may see the cure of baldness in our lifetime. But, the level of stupidity shown in those comments will never be cured. I think the latter needs to be cured first, in order to make this world a better place.

she's not brave, she knows she is super hot, would look good no matter what and wants attention and made a video to get it. that's it. looks don't matter? my ***, give her a joker scar and see how quickly she becomes a hermit.

So this lady shows beauty is not important to her by allowing strangers to destroy her hair.
And she does it with a good video production.
I don't know if someone else sees the irony here.

Okay, just bear with me for a second. I need to understand the way you approach things.
A good looking girl comes up, who isn't ugly and isn't suffering from hairloss, to prove a point that looks doesn't define a person. She even went out of her way when she allowed others to cut her hair to demonstrate her social experiment. Just think about it for a second, in this generation where women are concerned about their looks so much that they can't even think of going outside without their makeup, a lady goes bald not just in a room where the windows are shut and the door is closed but right infront of a whole crowd in a street steaming with people. If that isn't brave enough for a girl, I don't know what else is.

Now about that super hot part, let me tell you something, nobody knows how you will look like as a bald person. As a convention, everybody has a negative feedback about it." Baldness sucks, only few can pull off that look". In case of women, nobody even imagines about a bald women unless she is a cancer patient. So, how can you be so sure she was sure of the fact she "would look good no matter what"? When it comes to hair, especially women, they are more sensitive about it because that's their beauty. So the thing that you said she knew it beforehand she would look good is non-sense and stupid in itself. The thought of going bald scares the sh*t of out every man as it is already evident in this forum whether they look good or bad and here, we are talking about a woman going bald right on the street. I mean it, we are talking about a WOMAN.

But the response from the public in those comments and even here, is so immature that I could hardly explain it in words. You are no different from those people in that comment section. Just look at this video when an actress had to shave her head for her role. She knew her hair would again grow back but the feeling that she may look ugly made her uncomfortable. And here out in the open, a woman....... I don't have to say the rest.

and wants attention and made a video to get it. that's it
no, that's not it.

the video hardly shows her face, only in the beginning and after she was bald and also in such an angle you can hardly recognise her, forget about attention.

looks don't matter? my ***, give her a joker scar and see how quickly she becomes a hermit.

that was her point exactly, she knew how looks matter these days and affects us in our lives. The sole purpose of that video was to get rid of this trend and bring this nonsense attitude towards ugly people to a stop.

So this lady shows beauty is not important to her by allowing strangers to destroy her hair.

If the video production was that of a low quality, people would complain " sh*t, they don't even know how to spread a meaningful message"

I said something about maturity in my previous post, if something goes along with the trend people would jump on it without giving it a second thought( like what happened here - a beautiful girl makes herself bald to spread a message and people's attitude - she is an attention wh***, make her bald for the rest of her life, she will know the pain then"
Point is - if she was an attention-wh***, there were far better ways to do it than this. Have you even thought about this? No, no, people are too busy in negative thinking.

I am sorry this thread did not work out as you expected, but this does not mean that people are not thinking at it as you would have preferred.

IMHO you should respect other people's opinion without suggesting people are too negative to get your point.

That part wasn't meant for you. That's why I used the paragraph. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Anyway, I didn't want to disrespect anyone's opinion. It wasn't the aim at all. But that doesn't mean I support and agree with them. That's why I use the terms " PEOPLE", " THEY",
"EVERYBODY" to avoid direct insult. The whole point was that it's the opinion of everyone which is destroying this world. The line between real life experience and a make belief world is getting thin day by day. People believe in the fact which is very obvious.
1. If someone is ugly, his behavior must be bad too. ( reason : that's what they show in the movies )
2. If someone is bald, he has to worry about baldness, why should he not? And others will make you realise that you are bald via jokes, a disgusting look even if you are trying to avoid it and he will feel the pain and there you start the circle of pain.
3. If someone doesn't look like a manager, he won't be selected despite having all the skills. ( and there's the pain)
and those replies about that woman were in the same tone -
4. She is a good looking woman. By doing that stuff, she wanted attention. Plain logic.

BUT friends, that same plain logic of the society is destroying us. Just give it a thought.

I never meant to insult anyone but a healthy debate is only possible if this plain logic thing is discarded. The plain logic thing is just the tip of the iceberg, what lies beneath is the whole truth.

It was an empty publicity stunt. Tell her to wear it thinly diffused all-over, or shave some NW4 temples in, or rock a grown out horseshoe. Then tell her to keep it like that for the rest of her life.
