I wanted to know if any of you had heard of someone having the same side effects as I do. I'm a 24 y.o. guy and I've taken finasteride for about 10 months.
In the first 3 months, I had pertty much the opposite side effects of most people. Increased libido (I felt like a teenager...), increased semen quantity (there was so much I was ashamed with my partner...), my balls felt huge and hurted, my penis always felt like bigger though not erect (the opposite of going in cold water I'd say...) and I had heavy hair shedding. I have to say for the shedding that I had hair surgery at approximately the same time I started finasteride so it could also explain it.
After 3 months it pretty much all stopped slowly for 1 or 2 months. But then it started to come back in cycles. So now I get 1 or 2 weeks of small side effects like those mentionned above (but way lighter) followed by 1 or 2 weeks of some more normal finasteride. side effect (decreased libido, decreased semen quantity) - again, they're not very strong.
It's pretty annoying. And I don't know if it really works for my hair shedding in the end since it's hard to gauge how much hair I really loose after a cycle of shedding and another one of non-shedding.
