Either that's one hell of a piece or the first pic is a photoshop.

Hair and make up probably did that to him for a role. It can't be real. Looks real though. I wish they would do that to more celebrities.

I wouldnt be suprised if this was real (even tho it looks fake) this guy had a receading hairline when he was supposed to be playing a 16 year old high shcool kid in Dawsons Creek, he was clearly balding then, so once again it wouldnt suprise me if it was real.

Hmmm... I have no idea. I cannot find any other pics of him bald. But I do remember he was losing his hair during Dawsons creek.

I don't know if he is bald or not but this picture is a fake. You can see that it’s not a natural shape. Also the edges are slightly blurred where it’s fake. Maybe its photoshop or a wig for a film part.

That is definitely a photoshop picture. I think he may have a minor transplant but his hair was only slightly receding when he was in his twenties and looks normal now for a person in his early 30's. Kiel where did you ever find that picture???

Look at the shitty clothes he wears and the demoralizing background of the picture. He would not wear such clothes and let himself be photographed in front of such ridiculous furniture.
Definitely a fake.

The amused look on his face tells me that he was just made to look that way for a role. He probably would not even be willing to be photographed if it were real. The sun spots on the forehead are pure make up. Who would grow their hair to that length with that much loss anyway, no one his age.

Yea That pic is certainly fake, He had a reseeding hairline back in his 20s, But no hairloss moves that fast. Unless he was going through kemo or something. Although we would all like to think it was real, Then we would all be vindicated! yes celebrities must go bald as well that will show the world! mwuahahahaha!
The difference it quite amazing though, Unfortunately. Although Not everyone looks quite as terrible as he does with hairloss some people pull it off quite well.

Obviously James Van Der Beek who was Dawson has a high forehead. If you look at him now his hairline seems to have been lowered. Otherwise it has to do with the camera angle or his photos are touched up recently. If you go to imdb.com and look him up he has a photo that shows his NW2 and then there is a photo with his hair comb to the side and he looks like a NW1. I wish I knew how to post the photos like IBM did. Maybe someone can post them here and look at the drastic difference how a different hairstyle can make things dramatically different.

You can't display IMDB pics unfortunatelly. But you can link the URL.

I believe you're refering to these pics. Check out all his different hairstyles, look at pic number 4 especially with the long fringe and hair. Suits him so much better!

1: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3879901696/nm0004735 Short combed back

2: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2523961856/nm0004735 Shorter again

3: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3117323776/nm0004735 Medium length mature look

4: http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1521129472/nm0004735 Long hair (Best imo)

Personally, based on these pics I think he has had some minor work done. This guy was clearly balding and balding fast in Dawsons Creek.

Thanks for the post Metalheaddude. His last hairstyle is definitely the best for him because it camouflages any sign of hairloss. I think he had that hairstyle after a minor transplant maybe. Ironically, I have been told I look just like him as he looks now. My forehead is not as high as his and my hairline is better than his. However, I am glad more people think I look like Keanu Reeves. For Halloween, I wore sunglasses and a black shirt and pants and people said without me saying a word, your that guy from the Matrix, Neo. As a matter, I fact, I met a very famous celebrity, and I think he thought I was either Keanu or James, because I walked away from him and he came back later and wanted to know who I was. Not many celebs are going to come over to you and want to know who you are after you left them a few minutes earlier.

Come on then, who was it?
