Dealing With Weight Gain On Finasteride.

In the 6 months I've been on finasteride I must have put on nearly a stone. My diet hasn't changed and I still run 2-3 times a week. I did manage to lose a little weight when, in desperation, I ate literally nothing but salad and protein for a week but who can stick to a diet like that for a long time? So, aside from starving myself is there anything I can do?

You will need to decrease your estrogen levels by losing fat, putting on muscle, and eating a better diet. Eat a lot of foods that are good for testosterone such as nuts, fish, avocado, olive oil, beef, et cetera.

I recommend a 14-day moratorium on white flour, added sugars, potato, and white rice.

Sounds like he should get his E2 checked and see if needs to get on an AI.

IMO, the best way to reduce estrogen is to reduce body fat, that will work for most people.

AI is probably the second choice. I have not studied them enough. Aren't there side effect risks?

The side effects are no worse than the side effects from finasteride.

Are you on an AI? How is that going?

I take an AI when I take large doses of testosterone. It works great and is guaranteed to prevent gyno from too much estrogen even at super high doses of T. AIs are very powerful and you have to be careful because they can crash your estrogen too hard if you take too much or take it too frequently.

I get mine from a source online, but I am going to ask my urologist if I can get some from him because it is a lot cheaper. I'm on TRT injections, which are amazing.

You have trouble with your libido right? Look into TRT if you haven't.

Sounds sensible, you don't really want to take any more drugs unless you really have too. Like I said though I thought my diet was fairly healthy anyway but I could maybe cut out things like potato and white carbs and eat more fish.
