As far back as I can remember, and this is around 16yrs old, I have had what looks like a receding hair line. This really worried me throughout my teenage year; however now being 28 I have not noticed any difference in my hair line. I still don’t like it but as far as I can tell there have been no changes. The rest of my hair is thick and there is no thinning in the back. My father just turned 50, and his hair line has receding quite a bit over the years but he still has decent amount of hair.

I guess my concern is the future. Is there something I should do now as a prevention or should I wait?

Hi.
some people are just born with a "mature" hairline. In which case, there's not much you can do about it.

However, if you have a receding hairline that is caused by male-pattern baldness, which I don't think you have, then there are a lot of options, like Propecia.

I would speak with a dermatologist or a G.P. to find out if you have male-pattern baldness. If you do, then you can get a prescription to Propecia to prevent further recession.

I hope this helps,
