I quit proscar exactly 2 months ago after 6 years of use due to mental side effects that were developing (brain fog, etc, have a post on it here). About a month after quitting I had a few days of testicle ache, but figured it's about the right time where androgens would be readjusting back. Well yesterday I take my shirt off and notice around my right nipple it's a bit red. As soon as I touched it the whole area is super tender, and there's a definite lump about the size of a grape!
Now my guess is my hormones are whacked from quitting propecia, maybe some kind of withdrawal or over compensation going on..? I'm a bit worried though it might be the topical spironolactone - I started this when I quit propecia to see if it might slow things down in place. The consensus seems to be it doesn't get systematically absorbed, although there's so little science to it so who knows...
Thoughts on what the heck I should do? I'm calling my Doctor for a blood test, but any ideas in the meantime... I don't want this thing to keep growing...
