Don't decide to get a hair transplant using only Dr's in your area. You may well spend quite a bit of money travelling to get things fixed.

Dr Ron Shaprio in Minneapolis is a 1 1/2 hour fight from you and does top notch work. Hotels are also very reasonable in the area.

The only hair transplant Dr's i would even consider ar Shapiro, Hasson and Wong in Vancouver and Dr Feller in NY.

yes. traveling is no problem. I live in the Denver area though and thought i would check to see if there is anyone reputable close to home before looking elsewhere. Is dr hill in denver any good?

for 4000 I would probably head to Hasson and Wong, same general prices and they are the guys for mega sessions. Get as much done as possible in one shot

Wow. Hasson and wong look like they get great results as well. Would you say hasson and wong are as good at hairlines as dr shapiros group? Since Im from out of town...getting it all done in one session would be ideal.

Chances are you won't "get it all done in one session" since you need so much work. You will be surprised at how picky you become when you need even a little work, lol. I know i "need "about 500 grafts and Dr shapiro thinks I'm crazy. He is working on small FUE hairline and scar repairs and when he gets the Fue down i will have him put about 500 in my hairline

H+W is the choice for mega sessions IMO, look for users Bobman and Joetronic. You can find them on HLH and HTN.

Why is it Hasson and Wong perform "mega" transplant sessions and Shapiro can not? Just wondering...

It's not that Shpiro can't.

I believe H+W is till the only group performing 5K plus strip surgeries in one session with great results

My advice is to meet with both DR's reps

Contact Matt Zupan from Shapiro and Joe Tronic from H+W then decide for yourself

Great. I sent my photos into H & W last week. I hope i can schedule something for in January. I would much rather get 4k grafts in at once rather have to keep going through the process and then just touch up later if i need to.

H&W do seem to be the megasession specialists, they definatley hold the record for biggest recorded sessions they've done 10,000+ on many occasions whilst very few others have ever broken the 6000 mark.
I dont know what they do differently but I'd suggest that their yeilds are on average 30% higher than the other top Docs. However this is only beneficial to those who really need it (the NW4+'s)

4000 in one day seems way too high. I know precautions are taken but sheez. There's gotta be transection issues, shock loss, etc. thats way riskier with that much in one day.
I'd break it up into multiple sessions to increase your survivability %.
That's my opinion after only 6 mo of research tho and one hair transplant tho. Correct me if i'm wrong for the concern.

Have you ever had a hair transplant ? If not you don't know how painful the procedure and recovery are. Going through it as few times as possible should be EVERBODYS objective.

H+W will have no problem doing 4K in one day on a good candidate and if they can't do it they will let you know.

Shapiro is quite capable of doing $K in one day but I believe H+W have done many more of these large procedures

Got to agree its much better to have it done in one go, I cant understand why you think there would be any more risk wether you do it in one go or 2/3 the end density is still the same. Just look at H&W's examples they get the best results out of anyone.
