Dermmatch makes my hair hard

Hey everyone,

I recently purchased dermmatch and the product has been working very good for me. However, I noticed a few things.
When I apply dermmatch I have to dip the applicator in water each time i apply it to my scalp.i end up using a lot of of dermmatch. What this does is that it makes my hair really hard and impossible to comb through. But after my first shower it becomes reasonably smoother and better but ofcrse with lesser dermmatch. Is it normal that my hair gets so hard after i apply dermmatch? because after that it feels impossible to style my hair in anyother way unless i take a shower.
My method of application is as follows.
I comb my hair to the back..then i make sure the applicator is wet before rubbing it in the dermmatch case..once the applicator is moist and full of dermmatch i spread it all over my hair..then i start to work with my scalp..for this i have to dip the applicator into water and dermmatch case many times so tht my scalp is coloured..once that is done i comb it to the back again and leave it on for 40min..after my hair gets dry i try to run my comb through my hair again as per instructions on the dermmatch manual but my hair is so hard or thick or i dnno wht that it hardly gets through my hair.

Please let me know if im applying it the right way and whtr or not this happens with everyone!

Re: Dermmatch makes my hair hardd

Never used it, but am assuming that after 40 minutes it will harden. What does it say on the instructions? How long to leave before combing through?

it says to leave it on for sometime until it dries and then use a comb to style your hair. But the problem is when i do that, my hair is so hard that i can barely run my comb through it without causing breakage of hair.

On the thread longer down there you see how this guy apply it. It is certanly NOT taking 40 min... You are supposed to brush it while it dry to evenly spread and speed up drying time

Apply it and comb through it every couple minutes until it's dry. This speeds up the drying process and it also gets rid of most of the dermatch that's on your hair (you really just want it on your scalp). Shouldn't take longer than ten minutes to dry. If it's taking longer than that then something's definitely wrong. Not sure what, though.

Also, when you apply it try to just put it on your scalp. Dick around with your hair so you can expose the bald/thinning spots and apply the stuff directly there. Don't cover everything then work into the scalp. That sounds like a waste and the more you get on your hair the harder it becomes. If you learn to apply it correctly and efficiently the stuff can last a real, real, long time.

By the way, how long is your hair and how bad is your thinning? If you don't have any actual bald or super thin spots where you can easily paint the stuff on then I'd consider styling it the way you want it and then applying some nano fibers to make it look thicker.

I much prefer dermatch to fibers for a ton of reasons, but if your thinning isn't too bad or if your hair is longer fibers are probably a better choice.

hmm my hair is pretty long. havent cut it for 4 5 months.
What i do is, I just apply dermmatch all over my hair and scalp and then i kinda mess around with my hair and then i see a few bald spots. So i cover the bald spots too so that everything is covered and it looks original and real.
The thing is it does appear that i have full head of hair but i cant style it the way i want to because my hair is just so hard!i almost feel as if my hair is breaking when i try to comb it. And the drying process is too long! it takes around 45 min before it dries off.
can you post up pics or something so that i can understand how to apply it the right way?
Im not really sure its gnna work that good if i just apply it on my scalp and not hair.
Also, can you tell me how many times you wet the applicator? I dip it in water..rub it on the dermmatch pad..apply it for like 10secs...then i repeat the process.
