Just got my DHT and T checked before starting low dose topical finasteride after a year + of no use of finasteride. Only been using Eucapil for ~10 months.

T was ~500 ng/dl. DHT was below the reference range! Also I have no symptoms of low DHT I am hairy af, horny af etc. finasteride just gave me brain fog last time I tried it over a year ago.

@finornottofin Personally, when I had my peak results with topical+oral Finasteride, my DHT levels were still normal. Although, my 3a-Diol-G levels were low which confirms that the 5AR activity on tissues was inhibited from Finasteride, thus promoting the positive effects. At least, that's my blood test showed and with the research above, I can make a fairly assumption.

Sorry I've got take some time to read through those threads properly but from what I understand the essence of your point is the concentration of 5AR and thus DHT may be higher in tissue (i.e scalp) but lower elsewhere leading to low serum DHT but still hairloss due to DHT. My problem is my DHT is so low which may be indicative of low 5AR in other areas than scalp leading to brain fog when even a bit of the topical finasteride goes systemic. Not sure what to do.
