Dht Level On Finasteride Didn't Change

6 weeks on finasteride, 1.25mg daily. Did blood test before and after. DHT level didn't change at all and even slightly increased. How could that happen? Is this because the pills i'm taking are fake? Or my body does not assimilate the drug? Or the drug only inhibits the scarp level of DHT and does not affect the blood level that I've tested?

Before
DHT: 642 (normal range: 250.0 - 990.0)
Testosterone: 23 (normal range: 8.64 - 29.0)

After 6 weeks:
DHT: 649
Testosterone: 24

It seems rather strange that DHT would be unaffected after 6 weeks on Finasteride
