OK, I came back from a family reunion tonight. What I saw were everyone in my family has no hairloss problems. Except for my grandpa and my mom's dad. they are 88 and 85'ish respectively. but they still have sprinkles of hair. my dad is the next oldest in the family at 59 and he's having a little diffuse thinning. al my uncles are doing fine with little to no thinning at 50+.
i know genetics could be so random, but i'm just thinking its not very likely i got the baldness gene. ok, this is what exactly happened 7 months ago:
I started using a conditioner for the first time. it was really hard to rinse it through, so i kinda gave up on rinsing it. i did this for 2 more times within 2 weeks. And then I started to notice 2 chunks of bald spots next to my ear. I got scared and didn't know anything at all about hairloss, so i got a bottle of Nioxin shampoo. On the directions it read "gently cleanses hair and scalp. Rich botanicals, humectants and exclusive ingredients remove DHT from the scalp skin to optimize the envirnoment for healthy hair Helps reduce excessive daily hair loss."
So the smart-arse i am, thought "if this shampoo could stop hairloss by putting it on for a mere 3 minutes each day, what would happen if i put it on 24/7?" I basically wanted it to be on my scalp all the time to deter it from DHT. So i decided to give it a brief splash. I did this for 3 consecutive days cause right on the 4th day of doing so I lost ALOT of hair. That morning i could not style my hair. And ever since, i've lost more and more hair.
I have diffuse thinning right now and it literally is happening everywhere including the sides and back. So here's my question, could having shampoo and conditioner on ur scalp lightly rinsed for a few days cause hairloss. I heard SLS could cause hairloss as a normal 3 min. shampoo. imagine what it would do if left 24 hours a day.
yes, i know i'm stupid as f*ck, but can anyone tell me if:
1. My hairloss was caused by unrinsed SLS (from shampoo) and alcohol (from conditioner).
2. My hairloss is DHT related and the bad ingredients TRIGGERED it.
3. I have no hairloss, its just that the conditioner weighed my hair down making it seem less (btw, i used to have really straw-like dry hair cause i never used conditioner).
