I've been suffering from diffuse hair loss (even hair loss on the entire scalp). It's been going on for over 3 years and I've visited many doctors and every test has been fine. I've been "diagnosed" with many different things, such as diffuse alopecia areata, androgenic aloepcia, chronic Telogen Effluvium, etc. My hair is diffuse equally throughout and there has been no receding (my forehead is still small). The diffuse is is very even along the whole scalp in tiny patches. I've never used any hair loss medicine because I'm quite afraid of the side effects. I do, however, use Nizoral.

Regardless, I've been going with a shaved head and wearing a hat. I can grow out some hair, however it looks very patchy. What can I do to conceal it? I currently have and plan to go out with an army cut, which is bald all over except the top.

I've tried out DermMatch and it's so-so for diffuse/buzz. All it does really is darken the scalp a bit, making it appear thicker. I recently ordered Nanogen and unfortunately it doesn't work for my type of hair. First of all, I had to put a lot on just to cover the top of my head. Secondly, once it has settled the patch effect is still seen. However, I'm sure it would be awesome for those who are balding on the crown area.

Currently I am using DermMatch and hair wax. It's okay, but the patchy diffuse effect is still visible. I have a party in five days and really would like to hide it as much as possible. I've had serious social anxiety issues because of this and this is my first time going out to a club. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate them. I'll see if I can upload pictures.

Thanks.

Try Nanogen with the Toppik Spray Applicator. Spray from an arm's length & review the result after each spray. Emphasize on those thin regions until the whole scalp evens out. If it doesn't after a few trials, next time, pre-treat those light color regions with DermMatch first (start very lil' initially) before you use the aforementioned Nanogen + Toppik Spray Applicator method.

I cannot use any fiber without the Toppik Spray Applicator. It makes a day & night difference for me. I have buzz cut 100%.

Oh, I also use JASON Thin-to-Thick hairspray to lock in fiber, build-up my hair + fiber, and to nourish my scalp every time I use Nanogen.

How much better is this Jason Spray than regular hair spray? The biggest problem I have is that the fibers look very dull with no natural shine.

forgot nanogen, that stuff has the texture of pubes. try toppik with the toppik spray applicator. just try it out and go for a shade slightly lighter than your hair color.
